This research will be conducted by OSU Agricultural Engineering Seniors in the Dept. of Food, Agricultural & Biological Engineering over a two year period. To help fund this research, we are asking for donations from our membership and friends to help cover the cost of equipment purchases, modifications of existing equipment, designing new prototypes and production of prototypes and other supplies and materials to construct a pawpaw processing unit.  The OPGA will match your donation(s) to OSU up to a total of $1000.

Please remember that very little progress has been made to improve pulp processing tools in the last decade. The objective of this research is to substantially improve the tools available for processing pawpaw pulp and establishing best practices that help insure a safe, high-quality commercial product.

Any amount of donation is appreciated but for those who can donate $350, the OPGA will also provide one OPGA life membership and for a donation of $25, the OPGA will provide a one-year family / individual membership or renewal.

Donations to OPGA are not tax-deductible and the checks should not be made out to OPGA.  OPGA will collect the donations and add our matching amount and forward to OSU Agricultural Engineering Pawpaw Fund.

To make a donation, please make your check out to OSU and indicate in the lower left corner “for” FABE Senior Fund – Pawpaw.  Send to Dr. Ron Powell.
