• 2026 West Virginia University  Pawpaw Festival, WVU Core Arboretum   Monongahela Blvd, Morgantown, WV 26505.  2025 WV Pawpaw Festival at WVU Core Arboretum will be Saturday, September TBA, from 12:00-5:00 pm. This annual event celebrating an Appalachian autumn fruit is family-friendly, free, and open to the public, no registration needed. The festival will be in the Lawn Area at the Arboretum, and free parking is available in the adjacent WVU Coliseum parking lot. We will have Peterson Pawpaw’s select varieties of pawpaw fruit available to sample and purchase, samples of pawpaw dishes prepared by a chef, the North American Pawpaw Growers Association booth, pawpaw trees and other native plants for sale, live music, food trucks, and more. Don’t miss this special event and bring your friends!

2025 past events

• 2025 NAPGA/OPGA Pawpaw Field Day and Grafting Workshop May 17, 2025 in Wooster Ohio at OPGA/NAPGA member farm. Learn innovated and proven ways to improve your pawpaw planting. Demonstrations on plantings, caring, spraying your trees and transplanting. The Grafting part of workshop will be 3 hour class and 1 hour grafting in duration. • The 5th International Pawpaw Conference will be held September 9th — 11th, 2025, in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Conference will be sponsored by the Kentucky State University Land Grant Program, the North American Pawpaw Growers Association, and the Ohio Pawpaw Festival. Themed “Cultivating Excellence: The Next Chapter in Pawpaw Development,” the Conference will feature in-depth discussions on emerging and historical pawpaw cultivars, innovative breeding approaches, and the development of a comprehensive pawpaw registry. This event presents a unique opportunity for scientists, nursery owners, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and insights on the breeding, production, and a range of applications for pawpaw.

  Highlights of the Conference:

  • Expert presentations on pawpaw breeding, production, and uses
  • A poster session and a show-and-tell session for participants to share research or growing experiences
  • A pawpaw tasting experience
  • A tour of the Kentucky State University pawpaw orchards
  • A pre-conference tour of England’s Orchard & Nursery in McKee, Kentucky, on September 9 (optional)

• 2025 Pawpaw Festival in Paw Paw, WV.  Sat, Sep 13 Paw Paw,   West Virginia’s sweetest hidden gem A celebration of West Virginia’s native fruit, local flavor, and small-town charm—featuring live music, family fun, and pawpaw tastings for all! Join us in Paw Paw, WV on September 13, 2025—come taste the tradition!

• 2025 Indiana Pawpaw Festival September 6th and 7th 2025. The Indiana pawpaw festival started in 2023 at the beautiful Merom Bluff park overlooking the Wabash river into Illinois. We will have fun for everyone with over 40 vendors, bounce house for the kids, a mechanical bull, food vendors, craft vendors and everything pawpaw including our biggest and best pawpaw contest. It’s only $5 to get into the park.
• Louisville Pawpaw Festival. 3rd annual Louisville Pawpaw Festival Saturday September 6, 2025 from 11 am to 4pm at the Louisville Nature Center, 3745 Illinois Ave, Louisville, KY 40213, USA. This free community event will feature guided hikes, engaging workshops, local vendors, music, tastings, and more family friendly fun.

The second annual Paw Paw Pawpaw Festival is growing event celebrating the unique pawpaw fruit with fresh fruit and seedlings for sale, educational talks, and pawpaw-themed food and drink. Starting with a 5K/10K run at 8:00 AM, the festival offers a full day of pawpaw celebration until 6:30 PM.

• Farm Science Review! September 19-21, 2023 Whether you are looking to innovate with the latest ag-technology, learn from industry experts, or share your farming legacy with your family, the Farm Science Review has it all including the North American Pawpaw Growers Association booth. Show dates for this year are September 19-21, 2023. The FSR is located two miles north of London, OH at the intersection of US 40 and SR 38. When traveling to the Farm Science Review, type Farm Science Review, London, OH in your mapping device and it will guide you to the show. Farm Science Review show hours are 8-5 pm on Tuesday & Wednesday, and 8-4 on Thursday.

• Autumn Arborfest: 09/23/2023 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM  Location: Alum Creek Park North 221 W. Main St.  Westerville, Ohio 43082  Join us for a day dedicated to trees. Visit with tree-related vendors and learn about the benefits of trees in our City from the award-winning Parks and Recreation Department arborist.   Kentucky’s first Pawpaw Festival  at  Louisville Nature CenterSaturday September 23, from 11am-4 pm    The Louisville Nature Center \is celebrating the largest berry grown in North America this fall. Hike the trails down to the Monongahela river and see pawpaw’s growing in there natural environment. Walk the top lawn trail and see the many trees that grow there. Bring a blanket to put on the ground to watch the stage. Don’t miss this special event and bring your friends!
